The Princess Bride

Yesterday was the perfect day to curl up in an armchair with my knitting close at hand (but not actually doing any, you understand) and watch one of my favorite movies for the hundredth time. It’s also one of my favorite books but they are quite different. As a teenager I developed a passion for Mandy Patinkin’s character Inigo Montoya and I’ve always been a bit disappointed that the actor doesn’t favor mustaches in real life.
Anyway, here are some of my favorite lines from the movie. They won’t make any sense if you haven’t seen the film but here they are nonetheless:

“Inconceivable!”
“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”

“Why do you wear a mask? Were you burned by acid?”
“They’re extremely comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing one in the future.”

“Alright. Where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink and find out who is right and who is dead.”

“Truly you have a dizzying intellect.”

Now go rent the movie and read the book.
