Because it’s the beginning of August (the leisure month), and Because I’ve just, finally, after more sleepless nights than I care to think about, finished the manuscript for my new book, Feltus Ovalton and The Lost Warrior, and Because I love doing contests, here it is:
DRAW A POODLERAT CONTEST
You can find descriptions of PoodleRats either by reading the first book, “The Curious Misadventures of Feltus Ovalton” or by reading the blog on this site titled, “A Short Treatise on the Care and Feeding of PoodleRats” by Winston.
Please send your drawings to: PoodleRat contest, 202 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY 12498. Unfortunately I won’t be able to return them to you so either be prepared to give up your original artwork (though rest assured it will find an honorable place on the wall above my desk) or send a color or black and white copy.
The Contest is open to kids up to age 15 and if I get a lot of entries I’ll probably have an under 10 category and an 11-15 category. The deadline for receiving the picture is September 30 2008.
The winner or winners will be announced on the site and the winning picture or pictures will be posted on the site so everyone can see.
The winner will receive an autographed copy of “The Curious Misadventures of Feltus Ovalton,”
a copy of the Spiderwick DVD, and some other cool stuff.

Cool!!!! i will definitely participate in this contest, but if i win, i already have a signed copy. Actually, my mom wants a signed copy, so if i win that would work out well. 🙂

When will we find out the winner?
Soon, very soon. I was just waiting on some late entries. Winston and I are arguing about it as I write this. I will say that it has been a very difficult decision.
