Enter to win an annotated copy of Blood Will Out

Dear Readers,

I am giving away 1(one) copy of the Blood Will Out hardcover. This will be a special edition, personally autographed and annotated (meaning I will write all kinds of notes all over the book, revealing intriguing information and insight into my writing process. There may even be doodles!)

The contest will run from June 7th to June 21st 2018. Entrants from the US and Canada are eligible. Sorry rest of the world!

To enter please answer the following question:

What is your scariest nightmare?

Please post your answer in the comment section below (before midnight Eastern Standard Time on June 21st).

I will choose one entry to win the annotated book. 10 other entrants will win an autographed bookmark. I’ll post the names here on the website.

Good luck and please try your best to scare me.

xo

  1. That my house catches fire and not being able to get out is my scariest nightmare

    1. Hi Melissa!
Using the super scientific method of putting everyone’s name in a hat and then drawing one, I’m happy to tell you that you have won the autographed, annotated hardcover copy of Blood Will Out! Yay!!!!!! Please email me and let me know where to send it. xo JO

  2. I once had a dream that I had to cross a swamp by jumping from the back of one gigantic spider to the next one. I was almost across when my foot went through! Gross!

  3. The real world is pretty horrific right now. Think about what kids across the world have to deal with on a daily basis. Think about the victims of school shootings, of war. And what about the kids being taken away from their parents right now?
Other than that awfulness, I have a recurring nightmare where I’m trapped in a huge vat of boiled okra and I have to eat my way out. It’s the slimy kind of okra and it tastes like white glue. (Not that I know what white glue tastes like!)

  4. Washing my hair above the bath plug hole and a giant centipede starts to crawl out towards my face.

  5. Being chased through an abandoned village in the dead of night by two demonic humanoid creatures. Their bodies twisting and contorting with each leap they take towards me. Ultimately being flanked by one and being frozen in fear with no power in my voice to call out.

  6. Thanks for entering everyone! If you email me your address, I’ll send you an autographed bookmark.
