Just finished the second book in Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games series. It was excellent. Imagine me kowtowing to her in adulation. I haven’t felt that rush, that thrill that keeps me reading through the night, since The Golden Compass.
I should have had a sense of it though. This is the author who made me cry in public, on an aeroplane no less, with the description of a giant cockroach’s death. That scene was in her equally wonderful middle grade series Gregor the Overlander which also kept me awake until the wee hours.
So anyway I thought someone out there might want to win themselves a hardcover copy of Catching Fire which just came out on September 1st.
Why don’t you…hmmm…write a prophecy, or send me an invented bread recipe or make a picture of an outfit splendid enough to be worn by a tribute in the Hunger Games??????????????????
